Real Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Precious Lord,

We are humbled before You this day as we read this description of what real love is. Apart from You we are far from what we should be. Those around us who don't know You do not know how to love purely. Lord, as we walk through our days, please help us to keep these guidelines in view and draw on the love You have lavished on us to show that love to those around us. You are our Creator, our Advocate, our Strength, and our Guide. We love You and desire to honor You this day.
